Snow, snow, go away!!

Oh boy, are we over winter!!! We've done our best to stay optomistic and enjoy the winter as much as we've been able, but we are so over it!!! It's been snowing here since the beginning of November and as I write this, we are getting another 6 inches of the white stuff. UGH!!!!!!!!!!:(

We've been keeping busy but we are ready for spring!!!

The boys were very excited to see Curious George at the mall yesterday, but leave it to Kayden to be upset because the man with the yellow hat was not there! :)

Carver and Daddy went to a Hawkeye basketball game last week.....

And, we got to spend some time at Carver's preschool for parent's day....
I still just can't believe how much Carver looks like his Daddy! :)
Cheese......

Snow day at Carver's preschool was fun too, but we've decided we would much rather be playing at the pool! :)

I really am ready for winter to be over, but I must say that this winter has been a good time for me to slow down and really enjoy some time with my boys with out all the get up and go that we seem to have when it is nice out. I can't believe that my boys are coming up on their birthday's again so soon. Carver will be 5 in just a few weeks, which he is constantly reminding us. And, K-Man will be 3 in April. I have loved their ages and seeing them change and grow so much over the past year at 2 and 4, and as sad as I am to see them growing up so fast, I am really looking forward to seeing what 3 and 5 have in store for them and for us.:)
Carver has been being his feisty little self....although I don't know if I can say little so much anymore. He is getting so tall and learning so much!! I really can't believe that my baby is going to be 5! Every year as his birthday nears I tell him I don't want him to get a year older. Yesterday I asked him if he'd stay 4 for me and said, "let's just skip your birthday" an he said, "mom, I'm going to turn 5 even if we skip my birthday!" Smart boy! :) I love that little man so much! :)
Kayden is coming into his own....his vocabulary is exploding and even though he still has his little baby voice, he is speaking in full sentences and letting us all know that he knows what he wants and that he is as smart as he looks! 3!!! My baby is going to be 3!!! He is sure to remind me constantly that he is my baby but we often have to remind him that even though he is and always will be my baby, he is getting to be a big boy. He's been asking lately when he can go to school and as much as I can't believe it, he'll be starting preschool next fall. He is so funny. All boy, and all 3! He says whatever he thinks and I think he really knows how funny he is. We were walking out of the Y the other day and an older gentleman came in wearing a cowboy hat, without hesitation Kayden says, "Hey, cowboy!" The gentleman got a good kick out of it and I just could not quit laughing!
Hoping to get another post up soon, but at the latest we'll see you after Carver's birthday! :)
