First trip to the ER

Well, I've been officially initiated into the mom's of boys club. We made our first trip to the ER today.....Carver fell off of his bike and cut his chin and we were off to the ER for 9 stitches (1 inside and 8 out).

Carver was so unbelievably brave...and to be honest I was totally proud of him, but not really surprised...that kid is tough! He never once shed a tear....the Dr. and nurse were blown away by how well he did and said that he did better than most adults! He did great....mommy and daddy on the other hand both almost passed out while watching them stitch him up. :)

The kicker was when he asked on the way home if he could ride his bike when we got there. When I told him we should probably not today, he decided to go ahead and go to T-Ball practice instead....he's as crazy as his mommy and daddy!
So, we survived, which is good because with our wild and crazy boys I'm sure this probably won't be our last trip to the ER. :)

3 weeks until Marathon time!

In just about 3 weeks this guy.....

will be a marathoner!! I am so incredibly proud of him and all of his hard work and preparation for the San Diego marathon (hey, who can say they ran 2o miles, got hit by a car at mile 16 and still finished strong!....not me!), and I can't wait to see him cross that finish line and feel the indescribable feeling of knowing that you just did what only 2% of Americans will ever do....run 26.2 miles and live to tell about it!

T-Ball Time

Carver's started Little League T-Ball, and he is loving it!! We are so proud of how hard he is working and he is such a team player and loves to cheer on his teammates. I think his favorite part might still be the pop after the game....but hey, that's part of the fun!

Growing up Cousins

It is amazing to me how quickly the last 5 years have gone by.
Here is a picture of Carver and cousin Ava the first time they met as babies...

and the adorable 5 year olds at Ava's birthday party last week.....

We're missing one cousin (Connor) in this picture, but all of the cousins had fun celebrating Ava's 5th birthday. The boys are so lucky to have cousins so close in age so close by, they always have fun when we get together.

Farm Day

The boys enjoyed a day at the farm recently....they are so lucky to have Uncle Josh in their lives. They love him so much, and they love going to visit him on the farm a couple times a year.
