The boys and I took a quick trip down to the small (and very exciting, let me tell you :) ) town of Trenton, Missouri this weekend to visit my Grandma, their Great-Grandma Edna (my mom's mom), with my mom. We had a great visit and it's always fun to see the boys with both their Grandma (Memaw) and their Great-Grandma. It's always interesting to hear all of the stories about our family history and to see a different way of life in small town Missouri. We saw several Amish families traveling by horse and buggie on the highway and even went to an Amish store. These are memories that I will cherish and that I'm glad that I have been able to make. These pictures will be very special for the boys to have some day.....I hope they will some day appreciate their family history and the fact that they have been able to have these times with their Great-Grandma and their Memaw. :)

Fun at the zoo
We spent a day at the zoo with my sister in law Sara and my adorable neice and nephew Ava and Connor last week. We had such a great time. The kids always have fun when we get together....here are some pictures from our day....
Aunt Sara and all of the kiddos getting ready to ride the train....

This is the new baby camel....Carver's favorite animals to visit at the zoo are the camels so he has been sooooo excited about the new baby that was born a few weeks ago. :)

Feeding the lorikeet birds.....

7 years
I can't believe it's been 7 years since we walked down the aisle of our beautiful church and before God and our family and friends said those fateful words...."I do." The time has just flown by, I think that's a good thing. :)
Our wedding invitations said, "This day I marry my best friend..." and I still feel today like I am so lucky to have done just that. I married my best friend and he has been the best friend, husband, and father that I could ever dream of. I love him!!
Can you believe that I still don't have any wedding pictures in digital form. I guess we got married before digital times and I have not yet scanned any pictures in. Maybe someday I'll get that done and can share some pictures from that wonderful day...but for now this is the best that I've got...our engagement picture. :)

So much has changed since June 22, 2002. Our family has grown, and I like to think that our relationship and our love has grown as well. Marriage isn't easy, but it is so worth it!! I have a partner in life whom I love and adore and who helps me face the day to day challenges that life throws our way.

Happy Anniversary Toph!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Father's Day
A little more than 4 years ago God gave Mommy and Daddy a great gift...Me...Carver. I didn't realize it at the time but God had given Me a great gift on that day as well....a great Daddy.

He teaches us lessons along the way, but always let's us know that he loves us and that we are his world.
He was such a great Daddy that God made him a Daddy again just 2 years ago....and sent us Kayden. :)
Our Daddy is the most unselfish guy we know. It is all about us....everything he does is for our health and happiness. He works hard to provide for us and spends every free minute that he has with us.
Everyday with our Daddy is full of love and laughter......

He teaches us lessons along the way, but always let's us know that he loves us and that we are his world.
He plays with us, reads to us, takes us swimming, watches movies with us, takes walks in the rain just to splash in puddles with us...he does so much with us that we could go on an on.....
We Love You Daddy!!!!

Strawberries!!!!
As you can see the boys had fun as usual on our annual strawberry picking trip. I think that they stayed true to form and tasted more than were brought home, and they gave us the thumbs up that the strawberries are good this year. :) We brought home about 20 lbs. of strawberries and we're going to enjoy every last one! :)
T-Ball season is here!!
It's finally here....and the boys could not be more thrilled. Carver is loving it and Kayden is of course enjoying tagging along. Carver is doing great so far (come on, you're not really surprised are you?). And, the best part is...Carver still listens to me and actually believes that I know what I'm talking about. I'm not holding my breath, I know that eventually I'll just be some girl who doesn't know what I'm talking about. :) Oh well, at least I've taught Daddy some things over the years. :)

Boys of Summer
Summer has been keeping us busy, as we are trying to enjoy every last minute of warm weather and sunshine.......
We've had cookouts and smores......

Relaxed on the deck enjoying the summer sun......

Enjoyed lazy mornings after a goodnight's rest, ready for another great day....

Played in the backyard, digging and raking away in the sand and the mud.....

Practiced for the start of T-Ball season.....

Got a new car thanks to summer garage sales(Mommy's pretty proud of her $3 find!).....

Gone on picnics with Grandmas (or in this case, Memaw!).......

Spent a rainy day at Jungle Bungle..........

We've hit the pool several times too but I haven't brought my camera yet, I'll have to do that this week. :)
Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I think I'm enjoying these summer days as much as the boys are (or maybe more!). The boys are doing great though, still growing like weeds and learning new things every day. With boys, that's not always a good thing!! They keep me on my toes and they are actually getting along better and playing together better everyday, which is so nice for this momma! Hope the summer is treating you as well as it's treating us.
If you didn't get to see the videos on the last post, they should be working now, so take a look!

Oh the joys of raising boys!
Okay, I am hearing that the videos aren't working. I just made them public. That should do the trick, let me know if you're still having trouble viewing them and I'll upload them again. :)
Here are a couple of videos that I took of the boys the other night when they were supposed to be going to bed. I don't think I need to explain, just watch (don't forget to turn your volume on so that you can get the full effect!) and enjoy! :)
