Oh, what a Christmas it was!

Merry Christmas! Hope you were as blessed as we were this Holiday season. We spent some wonderful time with our loved ones and Santa was good to us all.

Here is our Christmas in pictures........

The boys were excited to spend part of Christmas eve with Memaw Susan, Papa Steve, Uncle Dylan, and his girlfriend Kelly

Here they are showing off their new jammies from Memaw. :)

Carver was very excited about his leapster from Memaw and Papa. He kept saying, "Yeah, a PSP!" He is in love with that thing!

Me with my mom, brother, and Kelly

The boys greeting Santa who stopped by shortly after we arrived at Grandma Kathy's house, before making his rounds to deliver presents on Christmas eve.

The boys with Santa, Grandma Kathy, and Grandpa Bob.

Carver showing off another one of his favorite gifts of Christmas...Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger!

Kayden was really excited while opening some construction trucks from Grandma and Grandpa.
This is what our tree looked like after Santa had visited our house on Christmas Eve. Carver woke us up nice and early Christmas morning shouting, "Santa's been here, Santa's been here, hurry up!!"
Unfortunately Kayden wasn't feeling too well on Christmas but he was still able to have fun and really enjoyed playing with all of his new toys today once he was feeling better.
Here are the boys sporting their new Cars robes.
Kayden checking out some of his loot and trying on his Hawkeye hat and Spiderman shoes.
Carver posing with just some of his Christmas stash. He made out pretty well don't you think? Good thing he's so stinkin' cute because he was spoiled!
Kayden trying to show some enthusiasm about all of his new goodies even though he wasn't feeling too well.
Looks like he was feeling a little better here as he decided to take Riley for a ride. I think Riley had a pretty good Christmas too. I would have to say he is probably just too full of treats in this picture to move, making it possible for Kayden to go for a ride. :)
The boys playing with their new race track. The cars are constantly flying off of the track but they don't seem to mind.
What a Christmas! I think our boys got pretty well spoiled. They are really enjoying playing with all of their new toys. Kayden is getting lots of practice with the word "mine" and Carver is getting lots of practice in learning how to share.
Carver told Chris yesterday, "Dad, I didn't get anything I wanted for Christmas.... I got everything I wanted for Christmas!" Warms your heart to know that they appreciate being spoiled.
Carver also asked on the way home on Christmas Eve if we could go through all of our toys and give some to boys and girls who don't have any. This was totally unprovoked and I was so proud. So, sometime in the next few days we'll be going through the toyroom and getting some things together to donate. He even reminded me today, just so I wouldn't forget. As spoiled as our boys can be they are sweet and I am glad that they are learning to give as much as they are enjoying receiving this Christmas.
I know I have said it before, but I can't help but say it again. Chris and I feel very blessed to have a healthy and happy family and to have such a terrific network of family and friends who care so much about us and that love us everyday of the year. We hope that you are feeling as blessed as we are this Holiday season.
Merry Christmas once again!

Kayden's the BABY!

So Kayden has been making sure that we know who the baby is lately. Check this out......

The boys are getting very excited for Christmas. We have a full day planned for tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with our wonderful families. Now we'll just have to hope that the weather cooperates so that we can get everywhere we're supposed to be. It's not looking too good right now, so say a prayer for us.

We hope that all of you have a terrificly blessed Christmas and that you are as lucky as we are to have great family and friends to celebrate it with.

God Bless! Lots of pictures to come after Christmas!

Carver's Christmas Program

Carver had his first school Christmas program on Thursday and you can pretty much say that he stole the show. I know you're probably not too surprised by that! Neither were we, but it was still just hilarious to watch. Chris taped the whole thing with our video camera but here is what I got with our regular camera. Carver was the loudest of all of the kids (I know, again not surpising!) and he was about the only one that knew all of the words to all of the songs. Notice the boy 2 down from Carver, he cried during the entire program, poor boy.

After the program Memaw came down to Carver's classroom and got to take a picture with both of the boys. Kayden was so excited to get to go into Carver's classroom and sit with him at his table. Kayden always wants to stay when we take Carver to school so he was beyond excited to get to experience Carver's preschool classroom.

He even got to have cake to celebrate Jesus's birthday!

Daddy turn 30!

Chris turned the big 3-0 on Wednesday. Carver had a great time teasing Daddy about being old. We didn't have anything too exciting planned. Poor guy, having a birthday so close to Christmas, it makes it hard to plan anything big. We were exctied that Uncle Josh decided to surprise Chris and stop by for his birthday though. We ended up going out to dinner and everyone had a great time.

The boys toasting Daddy for his birthday.

Carver really enjoyed joking around with Uncle Josh

Christmas celebrations, Christmas Cookies, and Carverisms

We have been busy, busy, busy but enjoying every minute of this holiday season. I am taking this opportunity while we're stuck inside during another winter storm (Yeah, it's going to be a long winter!) to finally update. So hang on because here we go!

We celebrated Christmas with my brother Alan and his family this weekend. It is always great to get the cousins together and we always have such a good time watching them all play.

Carver and Ava played dress up in all of Ava's dresses :) and the little guys had fun following the big kids around.

Here are all of the kiddos riding on super Daddy! He is so amazing with all of the kids, they just love to climb all over him.

The whole gang. My sister in law Sara, niece Ava, brother Alan, nephew Connor, Me, Kayden, Carver, and Chris.

The kids. Getting them all to sit for a picture is getting more difficult everytime we get together, but they are just so cute it doesn't really matter!

Goofing around as usual!

So, besides our fun Christmas celebrations we have been keeping busy at home with lots of fun projects. Today it was Christmas cookies. The boys loved making them and then decorating them. I think eating them was their favorite part though. :)

And, just to give you a little chuckle I have to include a couple of Carverisms.....
We were at the mall last week and Carver saw Santa and wanted to say hi. Now, he had seen Santa at several different places but I figured it can't hurt and I'm so glad that he's not afraid of him so I don't really care. So up he went to sit on Santa's lap. Santa proceeds to ask him what he wants and Carver looks at him like he must be stupid and says, "I've already seen you 3 times!" I could not believe he said that! So, I told him that he just needs to be reminded so he went on to tell him what he wanted.
Then, today I went to drop Carver off at school and his teacher said, "Oh, we're so glad to see you." Chris has been dropping him off and picking him up a lot the last couple of weeks with the bad weather so I guess his teacher and her assistant had told Carver that they had missed seeing me and asked where I had been. And his response to them, "My mom jumped out a window." I seriously don't know where he gets this stuff! And he stuck with his story when they said, no she didn't, and teased him that maybe I did because he was driving me crazy.
These kiddos are sure keeping me on my toes but they are lots of fun! Carver has his Christmas program on Thursday, weather permitting, so I'll be sure to post some pictures from that when I can.
Hope you're enjoying the holidays as much as we are. Merry Christmas!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Well, the winter fun never ends here in the Midwest. We got a bunch more snow this week and the boys are loving it! I have never been much for playing in the snow, but I love seeing them enjoy it so much! Everyone got in on the fun, even to dogs! They all just love it!

And some video too!!

And even in the dead of winter my boys remember their Cubbies! This is pretty funny, notice how Kayden is singing too. :)

First Snow

Besides all of the Christmas fun this weekend (see below), we also had our first snow this weekend. We didn't go out yesterday but after trying to go the Y this morning and getting stuck on our street (yeah, I hate winter weather, ice, and snow!) Carver wanted to play outside since they were all bundled up already anyway. So out they went to play. They didn't stay out too long but they were pretty excited about the snow. At least someone is. :)

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone. We are so thankful for some much and feel so blessed in so many ways. For us, it doesn't take too long for things to start to feel a lot like Christmas.

Chris and I set out for Black Friday shopping at about 4 AM on Friday and we had a very fun and successful shopping trip.

Then on Saturday, Grandma Kathy took me and the boys to the Festival of Trees Teddy Bear Picnic. It was such a great time! After the picnic we took in the sights and sounds to the festival of trees. If all of that doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what will!

We finished off our Saturday by decorating our Christmas tree and getting out all of our holiday gear. The boys loved it! Of course we spent the rest of the weekend trying to get them not to break anything but they love it all and I love to see them enjoying it!

Here are some pictures from our adventures.......

Getting ready for the Teddy Bear Picnic
Carver was thrilled to see Spiderman at the picnic, he practically stalked him the whole afternoon but it was so much fun for him. :)
Mommy enjoying some time with her boys at the picnic. What a wonderful opportunity to have some fun Christmas fun with them. Thanks Grandma!!
Carver was really enjoying himself. I just thought that this picture was pretty cute. Yeah, he's still doing the Spiderman hands. He just loves that guy!

And it wouldn't feel like Christmas without the boys making their first trip to see Santa. Kayden was a little unsure but he was okay sitting on Santa's lap and thanks to a brave big brother he thought he'd give it a shot!
