Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!! Hope you all had a great Christmas....I know we did!

Santa spoiled the kids rotten as usual...

The boys were thrilled to see that Santa brought them their big present request....a bounce house!! Carver thought it was pretty cool that Santa even had it blown up and ready to go in the playroom.

He left arrows for the boys to follow from the living room to the playroom. Here's a run down of their reaction when they saw that Santa had come....."What are the arrows for? what are the arrows for? What are the arrows for?" as the followed the arrows to the playroom....as they got to the bottom of stairs..."Bounce House! Bounce House! Bounce House!!"

It took some convincing but we finally got them to come upstairs to open their other presents....

but I'm pretty sure they were happy that they did......since this is just some of what they ended up with for Christmas after Christmas eve with both of their Grandmas and Christmas day at home...

Here are some highlights from our Christmas eve.....
We had Christmas eve brunch with my mom, Papa Steve, my brother and some other family and Christmas eve evening with Chris's mom and Grandpa Bob

Carver was pretty excited to get a Hawkeye football uniform from Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob

Daddy and Carver were having lots of fun opening presents.....

The boys loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.....

and they were as excited about their new shoes as they were about some of their toys :)

And the boys were sooooo excited to see Papa Steve's surprise for them.....he built them bunk beds!!!! They can't wait for mommy to get them stained and to get them moved in so they can start sleeping in them. Thanks Papa Steve!!

They loved spending time with their Memaw and getting some really cool presents from her!!

and Uncle Dylan and the soon to be Aunt Kelly too..... :)

Of all of the gifts that Kayden received this Christmas he insists that this is his favorite....a Toy Story chair that Carver picked out for him :)

and Carver was pretty excited about the GI Joe that Kayden picked out for him but he can't decide what his favorite gift is just yet.....he says he loves it all! :)
As you can see, we have nothing to complain about this Christmas.....we were all very spoiled with gifts and with love! We are so lucky to have been able to spend time with so many people that we love. We're missing those of you that we weren't able to see this Christmas but we're hoping that you had a great Christmas too and that we get to see you soon!
And just to leave you with a smile.....this is what I get when I ask the boys for just 1 more picture on Christmas!! Geez boys, I only took 165 pictures in the past 2 days....that's pretty good for me! :)

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight! :)

Carver the Christmas Program Star

Carver has had a pretty exciting couple of days. He had his preschool Christmas program tonight and he sang at church yesterday for the children's Christmas service. He was our little star of course! Here are some videos for those of you that weren't able to be there....he's in the second row in the middle in a grey and green striped sweater if you have trouble finding him. You should be able to hear him though. :)

Snow Day!

Let me just say....I have never and will never enjoy winter weather! But my boys love it and it has been kind of nice to have to slow down a bit the past couple of days as we have been stuck at home with all of the winter weather that we have been having here.

The boys started asking to go out and play from the moment that the snowflakes began to fall. They were so excited when we finally decided we had plenty of snow to play in and got them all bundled up.....

Kayden was nice and warm in all of his cold weather gear..... :)
Here they are loving on each other in between snow balls being thrown....
Kayden was just loving everything about playing in the snow!

Last winter we never got a good snowman snow and we never heard the end of it....so my #1 goal was to get a snowman built and we succeeded! Here the boys are showing off their masterpiece....
Daddy and his boys......
Mommy and her boys.....

Okay, so here was the highlight of the day.....check out our snowman....notice that he has 2 arms made out of carrots......
Then we let the dogs out to play, and I know that those of you that know Riley will be shocked to know :) that Riley went straight for the snowman's arm.....

And enjoyed a nice little carrot snack..... :)
Yeah, as long as everyone had fun! :)
Hope you all are keeping warm and enjoying this season as we are, gearing up for Christmas and all of the fun that having a 2 year old and a 4 year old during this time of year can bring. :)

Catch Up Time

Time has just gotten away from me! So here's a quick update on what we've been up too....
We made an impromptu trip to Colorado to help our nephew Justin celebrate his 7th birthday a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun spending time with Aunt Heather, Uncle Lance, Kyle and Justin. It is so nice to see all of the boys play together.
We hosted Thanksgiving at our house last week, which I loved! It was so great to have everyone here to enjoy spending time with our families for the holiday. We had Uncle Dylan and Kelly, Memaw and Papa, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob, and our neighbor Jim here, and it was great!!
Chris and I then did some Black Friday shopping and are just about done with our Christmas shopping so we are set to really enjoy this Christmas season. The tree is up, the house is lit and we've been listening to lots of Christmas music...I love this time of year! :)
Hope you enjoy it as much as I am....I'll update soon! :)
